Robert Half Accounts Payable Specialist in Los Angeles, California

Description We are in search of an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our dynamic team in Los Angeles, California. The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of vendor invoices, maintaining records, and coordinating with various departments. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Guarantee the accurate and efficient processing and verification of invoices while adhering to organizational policies.

• Ensure that accounts payable transactions are correctly posted into the accounting system in a timely manner.

• Collaborate with internal departments to gain invoice approval and resolve any discrepancies.

• Conduct reconciliations of vendor statements, investigating any variances or past-due invoices.

• Prepare and execute various forms of payments, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers, adhering to a set schedule.

• Keep accurate and organized records of all accounts payable transactions.

• Assist with month-end closing activities, which include accrivals and preparation of reports.

• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

• Respond to vendor inquiries promptly and professionally to maintain good vendor relationships.

• Provide necessary documentation and reports during audits related to accounts payable. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Coding is required.

• Familiarity with various Accounting Software Systems is a must.

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services is desirable.

• Knowledge of Concur software is necessary.

• Understanding of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is required.

• Ability to handle multiple Accounting Functions efficiently.

• Expertise in managing Accounts Payable (AP) is crucial.

• Proficiency in Accrual Accounting is expected.

• Auditing skills are a significant advantage.

• Familiarity with Automated Clearing House (ACH) processes is necessary.
