Insight Global Accounting Compliance Manager in Los Angeles, California

Job Description

An employer sitting in Los Angeles, CA is looking to hire a hybrid Accounting Compliance Manager to help support accounting research and business controls. This person will be leading the implementation of enhanced policies, procedures, and business controls, including monitoring and analysis of accounting for labor and non-labor costs for the company's civic, political, and related activities. This will be a full time position M-Fri 8-5pm requiring (3) days onsite. This position is paying between $155-170k a year with bonus incentives included.

Additional Responsibilities include:

  • Communicating with VP and leadership level to communicate relevant authoritative best practices

  • Oversee and manage a team that provides financial and regulatory compliance support, which includes filings, audits, tracking, reporting the status

  • Providing leadership and technical guidance for SOX and technical accounting compliance

  • Assessing risk and developing control processes ensuring SOX certification

  • Assess strategies to remedy SOX deficiencies and reports status and results of SOX compliance activities

Skills and Requirements

  • Master's Degree in related field Accounting or Finance or Bachelor's Degree and CPA certified

  • 8+ years relsated accounting/audit experience including SOX Compliance

  • 2+ years within management (team of 2+ people minimum)

  • Knowledge of GAAP and quantitative skills and a firm understanding of financial, business and risk analysis fundamentals - Previous Gas Utility Accounting related experience null
