USC’s Gould School of Law is seeking an experienced and motivated professional to join our Academic Operations team. The Academic Program Assistant will play a multi-faceted role to support the administrative functions and will deliver a high level of customer service and professionalism to our visitors and constituents.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preferred Education: Bachelor’s Degree
Preferred Experience: 2 years
Preferred Field of Expertise: One year of experience in higher education. Customer service experience.
Job Accountabilities:
Field and answer in-person, telephone, and online inquiries.
Assists in maintaining office equipment and purchases.
Schedule and coordinate meetings and events for Academic Operations team and leadership.
Make room reservations, set-up conference calls, and make parking reservations. Post events on webpage. Create flyer and make room reservations.
Serves as internal resource to faculty, center’s directors, administrators, staff, or students on departmental and University procedures.
Compose and produce a variety of business correspondence, reports and related materials.
Coordinate the preparation, development and production of major documents.
Arrange with vendors for services, prepares agendas, gathers and organizes supporting information, and oversees production and distribution of related materials.
Ensure confidentiality and controls access to sensitive information such as faculty or staff personnel files.
Perform other related duties as assigned or requested. The university reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.

Coordinate Travel arrangements for speakers
Coordinate workshops for interdisciplinary centers.
Manage the Faculty Lounge Inventories sand Supplies.

The hourly rate range for this position is $26.19 - $28.72. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state, and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.
Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree. Combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education. Minimum Experience: 0-6 months Minimum Field of Expertise: Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills for interacting with both domestic and international stakeholders. Demonstrated attention to detail. Proven ability to plan, implement, and coordinate program logistics. Demonstrated database/data entry experience. Proven project management and problem solving skills, able to handle multiple timelines, changing priorities, and fluctuating workloads.
