Instructor/Program Coordinator, Education

Saint Francis University invites applications for 9 month full time non-tenured position of Instructor/Program Coordinator in the Department of Education.  The Instructor/Program Coordinator is responsible for face to face and online teaching within introductory and advanced level courses at the Undergraduate and Graduate level, advising students, participating in departmental and University service activities, involvement in recruitment and retention activities, and ongoing scholarship/professional development within the Undergraduate and Graduate Education programs. Expertise in curriculum innovation as well as commitment to teaching and scholarly excellence expected.

Master's degree required.  Record of highly effective teaching and scholarship. Educational leadership, curriculum/instruction, PA Common Core Academic Standards/initiatives, assessment, and instructional technology skills are essential.  Excellent communication, interpersonal and collaborative skills.  Knowledge of Guidelines for Teacher Certification, state and federal requirements, and associated educational standards, rules and regulations for early childhood, secondary, and master's level teacher preparation programs (Level I, Level II, Specialist, and Administrative Certificates). Commitment to producing high quality educators to meet the rigorous demands of educational setting.
