Compensation Data
The pay range for this position is $74K-$91K annually.
Basic Job Functions:
Skyline Steel, LLC, a division of Nucor, is seeking a qualified applicant for the position of Shipping Lead. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
• Drive excellence in safety, housekeeping and environmental stewardship.
• Responsible for leading the Shipping Team in planning and executing operations including creating shipping documents, reports, and bill of ladings.
• Participate in team member selection
• Train and develop of Team Members
• Coordinate operations with other departments to ensure timely shipments to support our customers operations; handle barge, rail, and truck inbound/outbound shipments
• Organize and coordinate day-to-day tasks in the yard, schedule trucks, maintain accurate counts of inventory, and organize and maintain shipping supplies.
• Assist fellow supervision as well as all team members in the area
• Must be able to set high expectations and hold Teammates to those expectations. Individual must also demonstrate courage when dealing with peers and other Teammates. Nucor teammates are expected to participate in and promote an atmosphere of cooperation and teamwork while maintaining compliance.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Requirements:
• 2 years of experience in a leadership role
• 2 years of experience in shipping and receiving or inventory
• High school diploma or equivalent
Preferences:
• Experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
• Experience operating heavy equipment
• Experience with Stratix
• Experience with Microsoft Excel
