Komatsu Longview Operations builds the world’s largest front-end loader and we are currently recruiting for a Quality Inspector in Longview, Texas to support our Electronic Assembly. Key Job Responsibilities
Work safe and be an advocate for safety
Visual inspection of manufactured parts and raw materials per drawing requirements
Hardness testing of raw materials and manufactured parts using the Brinell and Rockwell hardness testing methods
Prioritizes raw materials and parts for the various inspection processes. Requires the ability to prioritize raw materials and parts for the various inspection processes
Set‐up of all types of gages for use in the inspection processes. Requires the ability to set‐up all types of gages for use in the inspection processes
Knowledge of visual inspections processes and procedures
Knowledge of surface conditions of materials & machined surfaces
In‐process and final inspection of assembled equipment such as wheel loaders, sizers, drills, etc. per the requirements of applicable drawings, specifications, procedures & work instructions
Qualifications/Requirements
High technical aptitude
Electrical and/or HVAC experience
Self‐starter, able to prioritize & multi‐task with good analytical skills
Ability to calculate figures & amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference & volume
Ability to understand and interpret drawings and technical requirements
Ability to read measurement with measuring devices
Ability to perform inspections & troubleshooting using electrical test equipment
Good interpersonal skills & ability to collaborate with others
Enthusiastic and energetic
Significant computer-based ability and aptitude
Ability to read electrical schematics, engineering drawings, basic hand tool use, basic MS Office use, and proper use of a multimeter
