Responsibilities

  • The C&CI planner/scheduler will follow all rules/procedures and inform the acting supervisor of any unsafe practices or conditions.

  • Inspections that must be planned and scheduled include routine vessels, piping, certain fixed components, pipe racks inspections and CUI inspections.

  • Provide high-quality job plans and schedule resources in a manner that provides optimal utilization of people and equipment on the highest priority work.

  • Planning/Job Initiation- communicate work scope to Work Execution Coordinator (WEC).

  • Field Review of Job Scope- physically visit the job site.

  • Job Planning- create SAP operations, walk down job with contracting groups, planner and other crafts. Create work orders and purchase requisitions as needed.

  • Turnaround Planning- communicate all inspection to be executed during the turnaround to the turnaround planner.

  • Job Plan Updates- review comments on returned job plans and update Data Pegasys, GE APM, AssetView or Electronic Data Management System (EDMS) as needed.

  • EDMS Recommendation Management- the C&CI planner is expected to transition C&CI owned recommendations in to the EDMS to track job progress.

  • Scheduling- communicate with operating departments WEC to schedule inspections.

Required Skills:

  • Utilize job-related computer systems such as:

  • GE APM, PowerBI, SAP, Microsoft Office, ProjectWise, AssetView, VIZIYA.

  • Interpret, review, and apply engineering standards, codes, specifications, and drawings.

  • Use and interpret piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID’s) and vessel/piping drawings.

  • Communicate in a proficient manner, both physically and digitally.

  • Prioritize and manage simultaneous tasks.

  • Able to climb ladder and stairs to access platforms or scaffolding.

  • Capable of accessing 18” access points for confined spaces.

  • Able to work at heights of 200 feet or more.

  • Able to wear and work using respirators: dust mask, filtered half mask, filtered full face, full face with supplied air.

  • Willing to make field visits, enter confined spaces, and wear fall protection when required.

  • Willing to work outside of normal work schedules to accomplish a task if needed.

  • Willing to travel to other sites or cities for company business (vendor sites, training classes, etc.)

  • Adhere to company procedures and policies.

Desirable Skills (Experience):

  • Prior planning and scheduling experience.

  • Experience with fabrication and/or repair of piping, vessels, tanks, or other welded fabrications.

  • Familiar with ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Codes and API Standards.

  • Familiar with NBIC and Texas Boiler Law.

  • Experience with welding and weld procedures.

  • Familiar with materials and identification of common damage mechanisms.
