Overview: As part of the commercial organization at BMS, the Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) serves as a trusted clinical expert in hematology and oncology. This role is pivotal in building professional relationships and educating key healthcare professionals (HCPs) involved in the care of patients receiving BMS hematology products within a defined geography. The CNC will drive peer-to-peer interactions that enhance patient outcomes through comprehensive clinical exchanges.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Focus:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with academic and community HCPs to provide on-label clinical and product education for BMS hematology and oncology products.

  • Utilize various communication channels (1:1 meetings, group presentations, remote engagements) to deliver information using approved marketing materials.

  • Assess the treatment landscape by understanding HCP needs and patient management processes.

  • Evaluate the impact of CNC activities and plan follow-up actions based on customer feedback.

  • Monitor CNC dashboard to adjust engagements and meet goals.

Provide Clinical Expertise:

  • Collaborate with commercial partners to deliver on-label educational programs and in-services for HCP customers.

  • Support product demonstrations and infusion training at CAR T sites initiating new patients.

  • Provide clinical training to internal stakeholders, including Commercial and Value Access teams.

  • Participate in Medical Congress activities and share clinical insights to support franchise strategy.

Commercial Planning and Execution:

  • Provide customer insights to inform cross-functional business plans.

  • Assist in developing clinically relevant CNC programs/projects aligned with commercial strategies.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Advanced Practice Provider (DNP, APRN, NP, CNS), MSN, or BSN with a minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in Hematology/Oncology.

  • Preferred experience as a Nurse Educator within the bio/pharmaceutical industry.

  • Current active Nursing License and OCN Certification.

  • Clinical expertise in Hematology, Oncology, and Cell Therapy.

Desired Competencies:

  • Strong business acumen aligned with organizational priorities.

  • Advanced communication skills, including effective presentation abilities.

  • Proven experience in influencing clinical protocols and patient management processes.

  • Ability to foster meaningful partnerships across internal functions.

  • Established relationships with HCPs in the assigned geography.

  • Commitment to BMS values.

Essential Requirements:

  • Field-based role requiring frequent travel (50-75% of the time) for HCP interactions.

  • Valid state-issued driver's license and clear driving record are mandatory.

  • Flexibility to work nights and weekends as necessary.

  • Compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies is required.

The starting compensation for this job is a range from $145,000 - $165,000 , plus incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility). The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills and where the job is performed.
