Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for an Administrative Assistant in the logistics industry based in LONG ISLAND CITY, New York, 11101-2511, United States. In this role, you will be tasked with a range of responsibilities, including vendor management, work orders, customer service, and email correspondence, among other duties.
Responsibilities:
• Efficient and accurate data entry
• Effective management of vendor relationships
• Handling inbound and outbound calls with professionalism and courtesy
• Correspondence through email, ensuring clear and prompt communication
• Scheduling appointments and coordinating with various departments
• Maintaining organized and accurate records, both digital and physical
• Providing excellent customer service and resolving inquiries
• Working collaboratively with the shipping department
• Utilizing Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word in daily tasks
• Ensuring smooth logistics and distribution processes. Requirements • Minimum of 1 year experience as an Administrative Assistant or in a similar role.
• Proven ability to answer inbound calls with efficiency and a detail-oriented approach.
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on resolving customer issues effectively.
• Proficient in data entry tasks, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent email correspondence skills, with the ability to draft, review and send detail-oriented emails.
• Experience handling both inbound and outbound calls, demonstrating effective communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Ability to schedule appointments accurately, ensuring no conflicts and effective time management.
• Experience in logistics, including managing and coordinating logistics and distribution processes.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
