Who We’re Looking For

Toyota Logistics Services (TLS) is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Production Supervisor. The primary responsibility of this role is to team with other supervisors to oversee the daily activities at our Vehicle Distribution Center in Long Beach, CA.

What You'll Be Doing

• Oversee vehicle processing operations including providing coaching, development, direction and support to Team Leaders and practicing Genchi Genbutsu to understand and support the continuously changing workplace environment.

• Supporting TLS objectives and ensuring that VDC operating goals are met for Safety, Quality, Productivity and Cost.

• Manages labor planning, daily overtime, training schedules and hourly team member timekeeping and partnering with

• supervisors, staff, management and other parties to make decisions on process changes, standardized work and kaizen activities.

• Ensures FQA compliance to support ETA objectives and meet customer expectations.

• Provides back-up support to other supervisors and staff as necessary.

• Administers HR policies, timekeeping (MyTime) policies, corrective action letters, recognition programs and time-off requests.

• Leads incident investigations and TBP/Kaizen activities, creating and maintaining KPIs, Standardized Work and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

• Participates in talent acquisition and new team member on-boarding; ensuring team members adhere to standardized work and damage-free vehicle handling guidelines.

• Supports effective team member relations by adhering to company policies, coaching/developing team members and resolving employee issues.

What You Bring

• Experience applying TPS principles and TBP/Kaizen.

• Experience with Microsoft Office Applications and Hyperion.

• Ability and willingness to work daily and weekend overtime.

• Ability and willingness to rotate between various internal production, logistics, or administration positions at regular intervals.

• Ability and willingness to relocate to other TLS North American Processing Facilities (NAPF).

Added Bonus If You Have

• Bachelor's degree or higher in business or related field.

• Vehicle Distribution Center experience.

• Experience with Intelex, NPPS/NVS and hourly team member timekeeping.

• Experience in collective bargaining (Union) environment.

The annual base salary range for this position is $82,700.00 - $134,400.00
