Job Title: Lathe Machinist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Lathe Machinist to set up and operate CNC lathe machines. The ideal candidate will have experience with measuring instruments such as micrometers, depth gages, height gages, dial calipers, and optical comparators. Knowledge of 3 and 4 axis machines and Fanuc control is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC lathe machines

  • Utilize measuring instruments including micrometers, depth gages, height gages, dial calipers, and optical comparators

  • Perform set up on 3 and 4 axis machines

  • Work with Fanuc control systems

  • Edit lathe programs as needed

  • Read and interpret blueprints

  • Maintain and bring your own tools

Work Environment

Our machine shop operates in a graphite environment where wearing a mask is necessary due to the dirt and dust. Employees are required to bring their own tools. 2nd shift from 2 pm to 10:30 pm with OT.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Long Beach, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
