Description We are offering a contract for a Billing Clerk position in the service industry, located in Long Beach, California. As a Billing Clerk, your primary focus will be on processing customer applications, ensuring accurate billing practices, and handling customer inquiries.

Responsibilities:

• Accurate and efficient processing of customer credit applications

• Verification of purchase orders and obtaining necessary authorizations

• Management and follow-up on unpaid receivables

• Maintenance and resolution of any discrepancies in customer billing records

• Collaboration with port managers for the purpose of ensuring accurate billing practices

• Arrangement of travel for employees

• Effective handling of incoming phone calls

• Assistance with other necessary office duties

• Proficiency in contractor billing

• Strong comprehension of billing and receivables collection processes

• Excellent communication abilities for interaction with customers and port managers. Requirements • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a similar role

• Proficiency in billing processes and procedures

• Demonstrable experience in handling Purchase Orders

• Strong skills in Collections and managing overdue payments

• Ability to manage an answering multi-line phone system efficiently

• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities

• Detail-oriented with high levels of accuracy

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced service industry environment
