The Audiology extern, under the direct supervision of an Audiologist, will provide support to project teams under the Clinical Affairs' umbrella which include: Clinical Technical, Clinical Studies, and Audiologist On Call (AOC). Duties preformed will include but are not limited to: assistance with evaluating clinical study files and subjects, data entry, and reviewing clinical performance data for clinical investigations. Additional duties including assisting with customer clinician calls on AOC, and general Clinical Affairs support of ongoing projects (e.g., literature reviews). Additional experience with other internal departments for specific educational and clinical experience may be accommodated.

Accountabilities:

Accountability 1: Clinical Technical Assist the clinical technical team by ensuring the necessary documentation has been received, compiled, and completed for special projects. This may include literature reviews, utilizing the .cdx evaluator tool to review .cdx files, pulling performance data reports, data entry and meeting documentation.

Accountability 2: Clinical Studies Assist the clinical studies team by: scheduling research subjects, scoring test materials, reviewing & entering data, and study materials development.

Accountability 3: Audiology On Call Assist the AOC team by taking customer phone calls through the Audiology on Call queue and providing product or troubleshooting support. Assisting the Hear Always team by requesting mapping information from the clinic and loading replacement sound processors as needed.

Team Role (Individual contributor): Follow relevant quality procedures in order to deliver quality products and services and identify and support the implementation of continuous improvement. Undertake additional quality responsibilities (e.g. audit) when appropriately trained to undertake these responsibilities. Contribute ideas on systems and process methods to improve deliverables. Work safely, complying with all safety procedures, rules and instructions; and reporting workplace hazards, incidents or injuries to manager

Key Incumbent requirements:

Minimum: Fourth year Au.D. candidate from an accredited Audiology Program Knowledge of hearing aid, cochlear implant and baha fitting and use Proficiency in Microsoft Office (e.g. MS Word, Excel) Excellent interpersonal and public communication skills

Ideal: Clinical experience with Nucleus cochlear implants, ReSound Hearing Aids and Cochlear Baha hearing solutions.

Salary Target Salary Rate: $20.00 per hour. This role is not eligible for benefits.
