Heidelberg Materials is seeking a Production Manager to join our team in Logansport, IN, reporting directly to the Plant Manager.

What You'll Get To Do

• Lead cement plant production operations by the market’s product requirements to ensure a high-quality product

• Identify and provide development opportunities and motivate staff resulting in a reliable and competent workforce

• Identify operational bottlenecks, provide technical assistance, and follow-up

• Define annual and multi-year CAPEX plans for new projects

• Ensure cooperation with maintenance and operational departments

• Assist in managing a monthly budget and communicate outcomes to the production team

• Optimize inventory and usage of raw materials

• Manage all operational fixed costs

• Develop and sustain the continuous improvement process for industrial Key Production Indicators

• Ensure compliance requirements are met through organizational and procedural measures including implementation of corporate guidelines, conducting training, and monitoring compliance

• Proactively managing the health & safety of employees to continuously improve the company's health & safety performance

What We Are Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.

• At least two years of previous supervisory experience in office management.

• Knowledge of office management responsibilities, systems, and procedures.

• Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and priorities work.

• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong organizational and planning skills.

• Proficient in MS Office, word excel, and PowerPoint.

• Knowledge of human resources management practices and procedures.

• Computer skills and knowledge, KRONOS, SAP
