Proposal Manager

The main responsibility of this position is to manage the development of assigned pursuits at J-U-B with the capture team.  The tasks for this position include:

  • Coordinating the formal proposal response process, which involves scheduling, facilitating, and leading Go/No Go discussions with the capture team. Assigning action items/deliverables and ensuring that all proposal deadlines (internal and external) are met
  • Leading and directing all aspects of the proposal effort in concert with Proposal Coordinators and the Capture Managers
  • Assisting proposal coordinators with content preparation, including gathering text and other proposal pieces, discussing color palette, section layout/storyboard, and graphics while ensuring content aligns with company standards and established brand framework
  • Developing proposal sections as needed, such as firm capabilities, personnel qualifications, and firm experience
  • Reviewing and copy-editing all drafts for compliance with RFP, win-themes and strategic messaging, grammar, and punctuation
  • Performing final quality review of produced documents

* Qualifications:*

  • Experience with formal solicitations (RFP/RFQ/RFIs) and other federal/state/local procurement documents
  • Ability to successfully lead proposal teams with strong and efficient management and interpersonal communication
  • 6+ years of experience in proposal/document development or a combination of experience and education
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, journalism, English, business, or communications is preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient with MS Office 365, specifically Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Acrobat Pro
