Overview
Centeva is looking for a highly motivated Project/Program Manager to join us in delivering excellent results for our client with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), supporting the FAA Acquisition Systems Toolset. The FAST system provides the framework for policy and guidance for all aspects of lifecycle acquisition management for the FAA, aiming to enhance quality, reduce timelines, manage risk, and minimize the costs in delivering safe and secure services to the aviation community and flying public. You will be essential to the success of several strategic, enterprise-level projects as you work as part of a team and develop new, innovative solutions to complex business challenges. Your problem-solving ability, analytical mind, and drive to exceed expectations will lead you to excel in this role. This position is contingent upon Centeva being awarded this contract. Expected notification is December/January 2025.
As a Project Manager at Centeva, you will be responsible for ensuring successful execution on all matters relating to the daily operation of client support to include, but not limited to, overall program/project management, risk management, schedule development and maintenance, and client communications. You will be the client's primary point of interaction and will represent Centeva by continuing our tradition of building strong relationships with our customers through delivering service excellence.
Duties and Responsibilities
Assist in the coordination and management of strategic projects
Influence PMO best practices and processes
Coordinate inputs to, and facilitate, routine and ad hoc meetings and reports.
Assist in the key project management stages to include: project planning, project tracking and reporting
Coordinating project-related communications among many stakeholders
Refining, developing, and monitoring metrics to assess the success of projects
Manage various activities and develop tools in support of periodic data collection, analysis, consolidation, and presentation
Manages project personnel and deliverables to ensure quality support is provided to the agency, its customers, and stakeholders
Develops and manages task assignments for other project team members
Support Strategic Communications and Organizational Change Management
Provide risk and issue management support
Understand and recommend solutions to improve stakeholder experience
Establish standard operating procedures
Provide required reports, project plans (PP), work breakdown structure (WBS), corrective action plans (CAP), risk assessments (RA) and other project management documents requested by the COR.
Respond to ad hoc requests
Assess “As Is” and “To Be” processes and documenting gaps
Assist in knowledge management activities related to strategic projects
Define project scope with client input
Qualifications
5 years in IT Project Management and Application Development with Appian project management experience.
3 years working with Appian.
Appian certification (Appian Certified Analyst or above).
Bachelor’s degree.
Formal training or certification in Agile software development methods.
Demonstrated experience in using an Agile development framework to gather requirements, estimate tasks, distill business requirements into incremental features, and demonstrate new functionality to product owners.
Demonstrated ability to orchestrate and communicate the management of technology scope and risks.
Demonstrated experience utilizing an Agile project management tool such as Jira to plan, execute, and measure projects.
Demonstrated experience ensuring that the technical expectations of deliverables are met thru Agile processes; additionally, support the continuous improvement of those processes.
Demonstrated experience with management, adequate staff utilization, and supervision of employees (including subcontractors) of various labor categories and skills. Specifically, managing teams that will coordinate with the Government and work with other contractors to support an Agile environment with small teams of developers, managing the transformation and consolidation of systems in support of improving efficiency, data quality, and service delivery.
Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills, including experience in presenting material to senior Government officials.
Managerial and leadership experience skills.
Required
5 Years in IT Project Management and Application Devel with Appian project management experience.
3 years working with Appian
Appian Certification (Appian Certified Analyst or above).
Formal training or certification in Agile software development methods.
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field.
