Responsibilities:

  • Preparation & execution of formulas according to the parameters defined in the technical sheet; maintaining records
  • Determination of the quantities of raw materials to be used
  • Filling out the test sheets at the level of Raw Material code and respective entry guide
  • Procurement with Raw Materials for the respective formula; raw material ingredientation
  • Ensure weighing is accurate
  • Transformation of Raw Material when necessary
  • Packing of processed fruit and storage of remaining fruit
  • Control parameters (brix; pH; viscosity; density; retained)
  • Comparison (when necessary) with existing samples (refrigerator / freezer)
  • Packaging identification
  • Apply the preparation to the respective base for organoleptic tests
  • Test new flavors / colours
  • Insertion of all critical information and data in the software system
  • Cross-functional responsibilities
  • Ensure the stock of raw materials (segregation of raw materials out of date) and internal stock of packaging
  • Ensure the cleaning, hygiene and tidiness of the workplace; good condition and conservation of laboratory equipment

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry or biology and/or experience in a related industry required
  • Experience working in a laboratory setting required
  • Minimum 1-2 years experience, preferably in a manufacturing setting
  • Knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, CCPs and Food Safety (e.g. BRC) required
  • Must be able to lift 50+ lbs.; be able to stand, bend, lift, twist, and turn for extended periods of time
  • Must be motivated, able to multi-task and problem solve, be task and detail oriented, and work effectively in a team environment
  • Must be safety and quality conscious

Schedule:

  • 8-hour shift
  • Day shift
