As a Sales Manager for a company without a sales team yet, you'll be accountable for building the sales function from the ground up. You will be responsible for leading and motivating the sales team to achieve sales targets within the HVAC industry, by developing and executing sales strategies, identifying new business opportunities, managing customer relationships, and overseeing the overall sales process, while ensuring customer satisfaction and profitability. KEY RESPONSIBILITES:
· Create and implement comprehensive sales plans to maximize revenue generation, including market analysis, competitor evaluation, and pricing strategies.
· Recruit, hire, train, and manage a team of HVAC sales representatives, providing ongoing coaching, performance feedback, and motivation to achieve individual and team sales goals.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers, including contractors, homeowners, and commercial property owners, to identify new business opportunities and retain clients.
· Responsible for actualizing account management strategies, sales planning, sales pipeline management, salesperson development/training and sales activity.
· Develop and execute lead generation strategies through various channels like cold calling, networking, marketing campaigns, and referrals to identify qualified prospects.
· Conduct professional sales presentations to potential clients, clearly explaining HVAC system options, features, benefits, and pricing to secure new contracts.
· Negotiate contracts, address customer concerns, and close sales effectively to ensure customer satisfaction and profitable project outcomes.
· Track sales performance metrics, analyze sales data, identify trends, and generate reports to identify areas for improvement and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
· Maintain frequent communication with the Commercial Operations Manager and Manufacturing Operations Manager.
· Lead weekly sales meetings to discuss strategy, competitive differentiation, selling skills, etc.
· Practices performance management by setting clear goals, investing time in employee development, actively mentoring adherence to Company policies and procedures.
· Stay updated on current HVAC industry trends, technologies, regulations, and competitor activity to maintain a competitive edge.
Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- A degree in business, sales, or equivalent experience is preferred.
- Three years of experience in a lead or supervisory role with responsibility to motivate, coach, and develop a sales team.
- Proven experience in HVAC sales, preferably in a leadership role with a track record of exceeding sales targets.
- Proven ability to build relationships, qualify leads, and close sales effectively.
- Knowledge of the technicality of HVAC Equipment, Duct Design, and Home Performance systems.
- Reliable and self-motivated.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills to effectively interact with cus tomers and close deals.
- Ability to work after hours and over weekends with short or no notice.
- Commitment to providing exceptional customer service throughout the sales cycle.
- Capable of identifying customer challenges and present tailored solutions.
- Ability to legally drive a motor vehicle.
- *COMPENSA ION: * The total compensation for this position is a salary base plus commission and will be based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and education.
