Overview Event Services is a growing department whose primary function is to assure the events hosted by Utah State University, "Exceed Expectations". The Event Host Position will assist the Program Coordinators to ensure overall success of events managed by this position on the campus of Utah State University.

Responsibilities Responsibilities:

• Assist Coordinators in all aspects of a successful event including, but not limited to: set-up/strike, A/V, equipment needs, event space, food and beverage services, parking, activities, tours, etc.
• Serve as the day of liaison between client and Event Services to ensure a successful and safe event
• Work with campus partners to elevate the client and their guests event experience
• Record and report any event changes pre and post event
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications Qualifications:

• US Work Authorization is required
• Prefer three months experience with customer service
• Ability to problem solve
• Excellent customer service and people skills
• Ability to follow instructions
• Ability to work independently with little supervision and handle difficult situations with the public and guests in a calm and professional manner
• Employees must maintain a well-groomed and professional appearance
• Hours will vary depending on season and number of events at venues. Hours may include: nights, weekends and holidays
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills

Advertised Salary Commensurate based on experience

ADA This position requires moderate physical effort.  Employees must have sufficient strength to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position, including lifting up to 25 pounds, walking and standing.  Employees must adhere to safety precautions and may be required to use protective equipment.
