UTAH STATE UNIVERSITY Entry-level Assistant Professor (Insect Ecology) in LOGAN, Utah
Department of Biology, College of Science. Entry-level Assistant Professor (Insect Ecology). Candidates must have: A Ph.D. in Biology or a related field (foreign equivalent degree is acceptable); Postdoctoral experience in insect ecology; demonstrated ability to establish an independent, externally funded, and nationally recognized research program. Required skills and publication/presentation requirements may be earned during advanced educational studies.
Successful candidate for this position will: Teach courses in biology related to insect ecology such as Entomology, Introductory Biology, Ecology, or Organismal Biology, as well as specialized courses in related areas of interest; research topics such as climate change impacts, pollination, invasive species, biological control, host-plant relationships, crop resistance, or the functioning of insect microbiomes; establish independent, externally funded and nationally recognized research programs in insect ecology; and form effective collaborations with colleagues and contribute to undergraduate and graduate education in the Department of Biology.
