Overview We are seeking an engaging individual to join our team as an instructor for early childhood educators. The ideal candidate will be passionate about education and experienced in delivering approved curriculum to aspiring professionals in the field. This role offers an exciting opportunity to inspire and mentor future educators while ensuring adherence to established educational standards.

This position is eligible for hybrid work within the state of Utah

Responsibilities Care about Childcare instructors will teach early childhood educators from approved Care about Childcare Curriculum. This role offers a minimal time commitment, ideal for individuals seeking a very part-time arrangement, typically 10 -15 hours per quarter. Classes are held in the evenings.

Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current Child Development Associate Credential (CDA).
  • Six years of paid professional experience working directly with children.
  • Minimum of six months experience of direct responsibility for professional development of adults or demonstrated knowledge of adult learning and training. Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Early Childhood Special Education, Elementary Education, Child Development or equivalent from an accredited college or university or complete an associate degree or higher with at least 15 semester credits in Early Childhood Education field from an accredited college or university.

  • Two years of paid professional experience working directly with children.
  • Minimum of six months experience of direct responsibility for professional development of adults or demonstrated knowledge of adult learning and training.
  • Bi-lingual/Spanish

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Must have public speaking skills.
  • Be able to manage a class of adult learners.
  • Must understand the child care landscape in Utah.
  • Must be proficient in the operational features of Zoom for virtual classes.
