Rastelli’s is looking to hire an experienced Department Manager for E Commerce to join our growing team in Swedesboro, New Jersey.

Job Description

The E Commerce Distribution Department Manager will manage the day-to-day functionality of a specific area/department within the fulfillment operation. This individual will ensure timely completion of the workload in an efficient and safe manner, in compliance with all relevant standards and guidelines, while demonstrating a commitment to teamwork, associate growth and development, and continuous improvement processes and performance.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Will manage the day-to-day functionality of the E Commerce department within the fulfillment operation

  • This individual will ensure timely completion of the workload in an efficient and safe manner, in compliance with all relevant standards and guidelines, while demonstrating a commitment to teamwork, associate growth and development, and continuous improvement processes and performance

  • This role will assist the Director of E Commerce Fulfillment in calculating the labor and supply required to meet the demands of the current and future business needs

  • Review all fulfillment reporting to identify gaps and develop a plan to resolve

  • Analyze workload and adjust staff accordingly to accomplish departmental/building goals

  • Ensure associate safety through education and training, promoting safety awareness and accountability, and by promptly addressing potential hazards

  • Reviews all equipment used and the workspace in their department to make sure it’s being kept in clean neat proper working order

  • Lead team to work in the same way and hold others accountable to this commitment

  • Observes that all PPE and other safety equipment are used properly and is in good working order

  • Sets the agenda for daily huddles and weekly meetings, communicates goals, objectives, and company directives to associates in a clear, concise, understandable manner

  • Inside average office environment 35% of the time, inside cold temperature warehouse environment 65% of the time

Qualifications and Physical Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • 5+ years of experience in a warehouse environment

  • Knowledgeable of a direct-to-consumer fulfillment operation

  • Food Industry experience a plus

  • Job requires workers to lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Must be able to: step, climb, balance, squat, kneel, bend, and reach above shoulders as needed.

  • Must be able to work in cold and wet environment.

  • Have experience with a WMS.

  • Have Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

  • Bi-Lingual English Spanish a plus

    This is a 1st shift position starting at 4am, Monday thru Thursday.
