SUMMARY

Plans, leads, and facilitates all phases, processes and aspects of the development and implementation of complex, medium to large strategic projects, programs, or operational initiatives for our Information Security Service Line. Serves as a point of contact for the implementation of enterprise project, local projects, programs, or operating initiatives. Provides a thorough understanding and knowledge base of RHM/SO/Enterprise Service Line culture, workforce and internal relationships, business, technology, and leadership styles. Effectively establishes project and program plans to ensure successful implementation. Serves as a representative of the Planning and Integration Director and interfaces with local/regional RHM/SO/Enterprise Service Line Executive leaders and end users, TIS Teams and System Office Teams. Responsible for defining project, program or initiative scope and objectives; managing cross functional team members and serving as lead consultant and communication resource with RHM/SO/Enterprise Service Line Executive leaders, customers, TIS Teams, System Office Teams and other cross-organizational teams.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Knows, understands, incorporates, and demonstrates the Trinity Health Mission, Vision and Values in behaviors, practices, and decisions.

  • Plans, manages, and oversees development and implementation of all phases of project life cycle. Manages complex, medium to large scope projects, and enterprise or regional initiatives.

  • Serves as a point of contact for local, TIS and System Office Executive leaders for project and program initiatives. Develops detailed plans that ensure culture, business, processes, workforce, and technology are addressed. Develops project plan, to include scope, objectives timelines, tasks and member roles and responsibilities. Holds accountable the project team to identify tasks to be completed and to complete tasks on time based upon agreed project plan.

  • Serves as a representative of the Director of Planning and Integration. Collaborates with service line level leaders and other business and technical stakeholders to develop and prioritize strategies and solutions, establish standards, escalation issues towards issue resolution.

  • Manages and monitors projects or initiatives from initiation through delivery utilizing project management, process improvement, or change management methodologies to support the objectives and outcomes. Initiative design enforces all standards, policies, and procedures (i.e., security, back-up, hardware/software redundancy services, disaster recovery plans, etc.) to reduce risk to the organization. Conducts post-project, program or initiative analysis for lessons learned and benefits captured.

  • Manages customer relations to ensure customers are actively engaged throughout the project, program, or initiative life cycle. Works with customer to ensure business process workflows; training and communication plans are completed. Provides appropriate tools, training, guidance, and necessary resources to resolve problems, avert potential risks and maintain customer engagement.

  • Assesses project or initiative issues. Facilitate issue resolution and risk mitigation to meet define project objectives.

  • Develops, monitors, and manages project or initiative budget (i.e., analysis, reconciliation, forecasting, expenditure authorization, personnel needs, tracking and reporting) as required by TIS operations. Analyzes project, program, or initiative benefits and value add.

  • Facilitates meetings with business owners and key stakeholders to identify project/initiative goals, scope, and vision. Develops documents for project, program, or initiative based on scope requirements.

  • Works to ensure Director of Planning & Integration, project teams, Service Line leaders, TIS and System Office executive leaders are apprised of project status through routine communications, reports and status meetings. Identifies potential risks and devises plans to address potential risks to ensure project or program plan is met and customer expectations are reached.

  • Manages vendor relationship and the integration of all vendor tasks. Tracks and reviews vendor deliverables related to project, program, or initiative to ensure successful implementation.

  • Serves as a technical resource to provides analytical and practical guidance to project team.

  • Maintains and enhances knowledge base, understanding, awareness and skill set of current information technology and health care IS to guide and advise RHM, SO, or Enterprise Service Line customers regarding IT needs and strategic options.

  • Collaborate with Product Management to evaluate initiatives to ensure in alignment with IT standards and Application portfolio.

  • Leads additional operational initiatives defined by the Director of Planning and Integration that may include the review of IT policies and procedures, System Security responsibilities, Acquisitions, and other IT assessments.

  • In the absence of, or by delegation, may assume responsibilities Director of Planning and Integration.

  • Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and local laws/regulations; the Trinity Health Integrity and Compliance Program and Code of Conduct; as well as other policies and procedures to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical, and professional behavior.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Business Administration, Healthcare or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years’ experience of operational, project management and/or consulting with information security and/or health care preferred clients demonstrating proficiency and expertise in managing progressively complex projects. Experience interfacing with executive leadership preferred.

  • Ability to serve as a leadership representative of the Planning and Integration Director and interface with a variety of Health Ministry and System Office Executive leaders, team members and end users, exercising effective facilitation skills, judgment, and decision-making in providing problem resolution and in meeting established goals and expectations. Ability to shape results, garner support and successfully manage complex relationships.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to facilitate meetings between diverse groups and interests and prepare communications that includes independent advisory recommendations.

  • Demonstrated ability in analyzing customer requirements and developing information systems solutions typically acquired through three (5) to seven (7) years of related experience in a particular product line or technology solution.

  • Proven ability to apply appropriate project management methodology. Excellent project leadership, organization, integration, and execution skills required.

  • Knowledge of and experience with change control, risk management, project planning, relationship management, budgeting, and scheduling.

  • Ability to operate in an ambiguous and highly matrix organizational structure. Ability to manage multiple and ever-changing priorities in a highly autonomous self-directed manner.

  • Ability to communicate with non-technical leaders and business owners providing a clear understanding of appropriate technology solutions to support and enhance business needs.

  • Some knowledge of and experience with clinical application systems (i.e., hospital work environment, technical terminology, etc.).

  • Considerable knowledge of multiple technologies and experience with enterprise-wide applications and systems in an integrated work environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Certification(s) in project management, change management, information security, and/or information technology.

  • Hands-on experience working with CRM platforms.

  • Hands-on experience and expertise with security and/or identity products.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • This position operates in a typical office environment. The area is well lit, temperature-controlled, and free from hazards. Incumbent communicates frequently, in person and over the telephone, with people in a number of various locations on technical issues. Remote office must be set up to maintain confidentiality and privacy of business and clinical information. Manual dexterity is needed to operate a keyboard. Hearing is needed for extensive telephone and in person communications. The environment in which the incumbent will work requires the ability to concentrate, meet deadlines, work on several projects at the same period and adapt to interruptions. The incumbent must be capable of traveling in the course of completing project assignments. Frequent over time is required to meet deadlines.

  • Must be able to set and organize own work priorities and adapt to them as they change frequently.

  • Must be able to travel to the various Trinity Health sites as needed (may or may not apply).
