Project Engineer - Mechanical for Livonia, MI

Will be responsible to conduct time study analysis and line balancing. Create and optimize standard working procedures and develop conceptual layout. Develop conceptual conveyance lines that maximized production, safety, and ergonomics through determining bottlenecks in the manufacturing process. Investigate automotive parts for material group identification and material species information. Perform a full lifecycle product development (design, develop, test prototypes, manufacture and implement).  Developing PFEP file using EBOM, CRATES, AMPS and eLEEN for Powertrain assembly plants. Creating Request for Quotes (RFQs) and requestions. Responsible for project deliverables, timing, scheduling, and status reporting. Review and negotiate equipment quotes for manufacturing build. Work with vendors to ensure proper equipment requirements and delivery. Taking care of 3D scanning processes and techniques using Creaform 3D scanner. Design material display and material storage layouts for automotive assembly plants. Execute storage analysis utilizing PFEP data to determine storage requirements and material flow. Monitor workshops to determine space reduction, packaging design, and material display solutions. Maintain assembly line, warehouse, and workstation layouts using CAD software. Prepare Station Readiness Sheets, As Built layouts and Buy-Off documentation. Taking care of measurement of automotive systems and subsystems of various gasoline and electric vehicles . Document and present unique Eye-catching features in state-of-the-art auto vehicles. Responsible for inventory of Benchmarking auto parts based on functionality in the vehicle.

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 24 months experience required, foreign equivalent accepted. Employee might have to travel on short term (maximum 7-10 days at a time) to attend meetings for project requirements, with client companies. Relocation means unanticipated additional location in future.
