We are looking for a Production Supervisor to join our PM team in Livonia, MI.

The Shift Supervisor position is responsible for all aspects of personnel safety, product quality, and timely execution of the production schedule on their assigned shift.

During your straight night shift as a Production Supervisor, you will

  • Lead operators in daily shift discussions to review safety messages, communicate work assignments, review production status & priorities.

  • Ensure operator safety and compliance with corporate and site policies, standards, and practices while providing necessary tools and training for task completion.

  • Develop self and others by evaluating the performance of all operators on all shifts and actively coaching personnel to promote a high performance team environment.

  • Work with other site personnel in implementing process improvements, management of change, safety improvements, and quality improvements.

  • Clearly communicate performance issues that are identified during shift hours. Collaborate closely with production schedulers, maintenance personnel and site leadership team to adjust to changing priorities.

  • Perform proper turnover (verbal and electronic) of production schedule status to the following shift supervisor.

  • Accurately complete SAP transactions related to production, inventory, shipping and receiving.

  • Work with operators to resolve equipment and batch issues.

  • Become proficient at operating the Rockwell PCS and become familiar with all aspects of site operations. Issue safe work permits as needed.

If you...

  • Have a High School Diploma or GED. (Associates degree preferred)

  • Have a minimum of 3 years experience in a chemical manufacturing environment with batch production experience.

  • Have supervisory experience in manufacturing industry, this would be preferred.

  • Possess proven safety performance and process troubleshooting knowledge.

  • Possess strong oral, written, and interpersonal skills, with experience in MS Office and the ability to learn and navigate a database system such as SAP.

  • Have experience using control systems.
