Ford Motor Company Product Development Engineer in Livonia, Michigan

The Transmission Systems Engineer works on all rear-wheel-drive automatic transmission programs. This is an exciting opportunity to work on Systems Engineering of transmissions in the primary vehicle lines of Ford Motor Company. Hybrids, Internal combustion engines, Vehicle and Transmission Assembly projects.

In this position...

  • Lead engineering on all aspects of a specific transmission architecture.

  • Lead engineering on problem solving and implementation of transmission quality actions in vehicle assembly.

  • Prototype Vehicle sign-off for certification, durability and test vehicles.

What you'll do...

  • Responsible for all Transmission Illustration drawings - Create, update and release.

  • Lead engineer on cost studies implementing specific transmission design actions.

  • Lead engineer on transmission quality resolution actions.

You'll have...

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.

  • Transmission or Powertrain knowledge required.

Even better, you may have...

  • Experience with WERS, Integrator, FEDE, AIMS, e3p, Team Center.

  • Clear and concise communication both written and spoken.

  • Microsoft Office application fluency (Powerpoint, Excel, etc.)
