The Facilities Maintenance Electrician will be responsible for inspecting, testing, installing, maintaining,  modifying, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical circuits, systems fixtures and related electrical  controls and devices. The role will work in compliance with all state and local electrical codes. The  Facilities Maintenance Electrician will also support other industrial and commercial building and  equipment maintenance repair functions such as plumbing, and machine repair as directed by Facilities  Electrical Supervisor.

As a Facilities Maintenance Electrician, you will be responsible for:

  • Install, maintain, and replace new and existing electrical equipment such as transformers, switchboards, controllers, power distribution units, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, conduit systems, and other electrical equipment and components as directed
  • Perform general maintenance and preventative maintenance to electrical and other systems
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and identify electrical issues using the appropriate testing devices. Uses test equipment such as multi-meters, rotation meters, micro-ohm meters, and other test equipment to test and validate repairs
  • Works with and without technical blueprints, drawings, layouts, schematics, or other specifications to troubleshoot and make necessary repairs
  • Support other industrial and commercial building and equipment maintenance repair functions such as plumbing, and machine repair as directed
  • Ensure compliance with local, building, electrical, OSHA and the National Electric Code (NEC) Interact and engage in a timely and professional manner when resolving problems and requests from internal customers at all levels

To be considered as a Facilities Maintenance Electrician, you will need:

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of electrical maintenance experience in an industrial and commercial environment, including strong experience with 208, 240 and 480 voltage systems
  • Experience troubleshooting electrical malfunctions in equipment and diagnosing and correcting problems quickly to minimize production delays
  • Experience adhering to and working in compliance with local, building, electrical, safety and the National Electric Code (NEC)
  • Clean driving record and valid driver's license
  • Ability to bend and install conduit up to 3 inches and pull wire up to 500 MCM
  • Basic control wiring knowledge and ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and schematics
  • Excellent math skills, communication skills, and work effectively independently and as a team
