Description:

Oversees rolling forecast, performance reporting & financial analysis activities to drive adoption of aligned strategies; Reviews rolling forecasts, financial plans, monitors & reports on performance & supports performance improvement to ensure strong financial stewardship for the service line(s).

Develops & implements the financial reporting structure & related mapping necessary to measure service line (ASC & OP Imaging) performance. Assists in evaluating the success of the business lines in achieving its goals & formulating improvement plans to correct any issues if the business lines are not achieving its goals.

Purpose

Provides financial stewardship, functional expertise & accountability for leading, guiding & directing the Trinity Health enterprise functional responsibilities through effective business leadership, strategy alignment / deployment,

internal controls & operating / capital budget development, monitoring & management; Retains responsibility for the integrity of all financial information & reporting in the area(s) of engagement.

Leadership

• Provides advice, guidance & leadership to Regional Health Ministry (RHM) & Market / Ministry leaders in developing strategies & in the achievement of performance goals.

• Enables collaboration across & within Service Area, RHM & Markets to ensure consistency & integration of strategy & operations.

Direction & Growth

• Provides advice, guidance & leadership to Service Area function, RHM & Markets, including Merger & Acquisitions (M & A) & other growth opportunities.

• Leads standardization / systemness & optimization of policy, process, methodology, establishing a national community of practice.

• Oversees vendor / contract labor management including centralizing strategy & optimizing spend.

Strategic Support & Accountability

• Collaborates in system-wide strategy development & deployment of functional area priorities & initiatives.

• Responsible for supporting regional efforts to comply with functional area priorities. Accountable for the selection, evaluation & overall success of the functional leadership teams.

• Serves as organization-wide focal point for establishing functional strategies & governance over financials & staffing.

• Accountable for communication between Service Area function, RHM & Markets leader.

Operational Delivery

• Implements & drives the financial strategies for the service area.

• Responsible for measuring & reporting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) / metrics & value delivery.

• Provides advice, guidance & leadership for the colleague life cycle.

Maintains a working knowledge of applicable federal, state & local laws / regulations, Trinity Health Integrity & Compliance Program & Code of Conduct, as well as other policies, procedures & guidelines in order to ensure

adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical & professional behavior & safe work practices.

Functional Role (not inclusive of titles or advancement career progression)

Provides financial stewardship & direction to the assigned market & / or ministry through effective business leadership, strategy deployment, internal controls & operating & capital budget development, monitoring & management. Provides support to other markets / ministry executives within the Services Area. Engages in market level strategy alignment. Assists in evaluating the success of the company in achieving its goals & formulating plans to correct any issues if the company is not achieving its goals. Manages (directly / indirectly) teams of mid-level / senior professionals. Leads or engages in multidisciplinary projects or initiatives. Assists in managing the company's finances, identifying ways to increase revenue & decrease costs, analyzes financial reports & prepares operating budgets. The position collaborates with other senior management to address, interpret, resolve & monitor a broad & diverse range of financial, operational & strategic issues. Responsible for the integrity of all financial

information & reporting for area of responsibility.

Provides functional oversite of multiple small sites / locations / service lines or single medium / large site / multiple service lines within service area(s) or enterprise wide. Enables ministry level / service line strategy to address internal or external business & regulatory issues. Provides functional expertise & ensures fulfillment of performance & service standards at the system & ministry levels. Responsible for consistent operating performance & achieving financial goals for assigned domain. Accountable for leading, managing & advancing people. Manages the daily operations & processes & / or programs that support system-level, ministry-level or service line level operations. Ensures a healthy working environment & provides leadership to enhance patient & colleague experiences.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or related field required.

Seven (7) to ten (10) years’ experience in financial management with progressively increasing leadership & responsibility.

Additional Qualifications (nice to have)

Master’s degree or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is strongly preferred.

Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) certification desirable.

Multi-hospital experience is strongly preferred with experience in working in a complex delivery system with a multi-specialty medical group & / or a Medicare Advantage health plan.

Pay Range - $111,812- $184,490
