Roush is seeking a skilled Aviation Cylinder Head Technician I to support day-to-day sub-assembly tasks for engine component assembly and inspection. This position will involve quality checking, testing, and provide high tolerance, high quality parts in a demanding environment.
As an Aviation Cylinder Head Technician I, you will:
Complete and blend work on valves
Disassemble, clean, quality check, and crack test using nondestructive methods
Make quality decisions based on known life/usage and condition of the parts
Measure, prepare, re-assemble, and test various components to a defined standard and specification
Keep engine and component records according to established procedures
Inspect cylinder heads and components, and verify they are compliant to the appropriate standard
Machine components and assemblies to desired standards
Measure components to be verify specifications
Perform other assigned duties
To be considered as an Aviation Cylinder Head Technician, you will need:
High school diploma or equivalent
Full knowledge of measuring equipment, such as micrometers and indicators, and be very detail oriented
Minimum of 1 year of machining close tolerance details for cylinder heads and/or machine shop skills
Excellent shop math skills
Preferred Skills:
Ability to port and blend cylinder heads
Experience with honing, boring, and decking engine blocks
Ability to move/lift 50 lbs.
Own basic hand tools
Ability to work overtime/weekends and ready/willing to complete all tasks as assigned
Self-starter and possesses the skills to work with minimal supervision
