Behind the Design Sales/Design Consultant in Livingston, New Jersey

Our Offer:

  • Base salary of $40k plus commission!

  • Projected first year earnings of up to $70,000 with commission included.

  • Paid training period of up to 90 days.

    Our Ideal Candidate: 

  • Has experience with in-home and/or interior design sales. 

  • Window treatment sales and/or product catalog knowledge are a plus!!

  • Has exemplary communication skills. 

  • Maintains a demonstrated track record in sales execution. 

  • Enjoys constantly shifting scenery. 

  • Is energized by interfacing with people. 

  • Is an expert in design scope and project management. 

    A Day in the Life:

     

    Client Acquisition

  • Be the face of our company by actively canvassing new prospects in stores, offices, and restaurants.

  • Collaborate with the sales administrator to mail new home sales listings, capturing the latest opportunities.

  • Dive into builder leads and bid opportunities. 

  • Network like a pro with designers, builders, and past clients to expand your reach.

  • Deliver exceptional service to turn potential clients into loyal customers

    Sales Execution

  • Meet with new and potential clients on in-home appointments to execute sales. 

  • Capture details in each space to scope design options and recommend a laser-focused selection of products from your knowledge of product catalog.

    Project Management

  • Gather quotes and maintain timely, collaborative communication needed from scope to install. 

  • Collect, log and track your own client orders, submitting them to a sales administrator for deposit collection and review.

  • Oversee processes like permits, CAD drawings, and backorder follow-ups.

  • Update systems on project completion throughout the process.

    Account Management

  • Gather valuable feedback from installers to continuously improve.

  • Send personalized communications to customers.

  • Follow up!

  • Maintain an innovative, improvement mindset. 

  • Log exemplary work for engagement on social media.

  • Foster strong, positive relationships with employees, customers, and vendors.

  • Collaborate with teammates to meet and exceed sales goals.
