Job Overview:

The Medical Assistant for Department of Surgery at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center- will provide support to the clinical staff by assisting with patient visits including directing patient flow in and out of the exam rooms, taking patient vital signs and communicating with clinical staff about patient readiness for visit. The Medical Assistant will also maintain stock in exam rooms, work with administrative staff to ensure supplies are maintained and ordered as needed, and assist with administrative staff as necessary to meet patient needs.

Qualifications:

Required:

• High School Diploma Required.

Preferred:

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program Preferred or Medical Technologist experience

• 1 year medical assistant experience preferred.

Certifications and Licenses Required:

• BLS Certification Required (American Heart Association Only)
