Job Title: Systems Engineer

Job Description

The Systems Engineer will collaborate in an Agile environment with other engineering disciplines and program personnel to perform engineering research, design, development, modification, and evaluation in support of complex systems and their components, equipment, sub-systems, and networks. Qualified Engineers will conduct trade studies, perform dynamic analyses, allocate and trace requirements, develop algorithms, author test procedures, verify requirements, integrate and test, perform root cause analysis, resolve defects, interface with vendors and customers, and interact with engineers of other disciplines to deliver quality products.

Hard Skills

• Proficiency in Matlab, Python, C++, or equivalent high-level computing language

• Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering tools (Cameo, Rhapsody or similar tools)

• Experience with DevOps tools (Jira, Confluence, GitLab, Mattermost or similar tools)

• Experience with Algorithm definition/development

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Liverpool, New York.

Work Environment

Located in Syracuse, NY. Campus is a large campus with a majority of secured areas. Approximately 1600 total people located in Syracuse, with 700+ within Engineering. Systems Engineering group consists of approximately 180 people which is broken down into Requirements, System Integration, System Test, and Special Systems. Work Schedule: 4, 10-hour days, 100% onsite in a classified lab. Several new development programs are driving new engineering business within Syracuse, plus there are several legacy programs that also require additional resources. Opportunity allows contractors to work on exciting programs that include upgrading legacy technologies with some of the newest technologies and new research and development programs.
