WHO YOU ARE

This position is an opportunity to work in a fast-paced team-oriented environment working with an established Radar Field Engineering Team. In this role the candidate will become an active member of an established team supporting our Ground-Based Air Surveillance line of business. The candidate will be supporting multiple roles and duties daily. These duties include, but not limited to the following:

1. Troubleshoot radars and associated assemblies, subassemblies, mechanical and electric system components for deficiencies and malfunctions.

2. Remove and replace faulty assembles and subassemblies.

3. Assist in the installation and checkout of new radars throughout the world. International and domestic travel requirements average about 50% annually.

4. Assist in maintaining the onsite Syracuse radar test beds.

Basic Qualifications:

1. Willing to support domestic and international travel. International travel will be to low, medium, and high-risk security level countries as required.

2. Demonstrated skills in electronic and mechanical troubleshooting.

3. Demonstrated skills following established maintenance and test procedures.

4. Demonstrated ability to read, interpret, and follow schematics and mechanical drawings.

5. Must be a US Citizen and possess a valid US Driver's License.

6. Proficient using MS Office software including, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.

7. Demonstrated skills using different pieces of test equipment including, digital oscilloscope, logic analyzer, and signal generator.

8. Must have an Interim Secret clearance to start.

Desired Skills:

1. Previous field engineering experience in support of defense programs.

2. Working knowledge of Radar Principles.

3. Experience operating and maintaining radars, including but not limited to; FPS-117, TPS-77, and TPQ-53 radar systems.

4. Previous military experience performing operation, repair and upkeep on radar platforms.

5. Understanding of Unix/Linux operating system in the area's of file system navigation and commands.

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: Non- standard 40 hour work week as assigned by leader

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Washington or Washington DC is $58,200 - $111,600 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $67,000 - $126,100. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
