LAMA Construction, LLC Carpenter Helper in Liverpool, New York

Carpenter Helper - 3 full-time positions

Employer: LAMA Construction, LLC, 4731 New Hope North, Liverpool, NY 13090.

Duties: Help Carpenters by performing duties including supplying or holding materials or tools and cleaning work area and equipment. Take measurements, cut material using hand and power tools. Assist carpenters with installation of structures or fixtures such as framing material, windows, doors and flooring. Work as a team to complete assigned tasks and clean up the worksite after the day is over which includes the clean-up of debris, rubble and other waste materials. Maintain and care for tools/equipment to ensure safety and proper functionality, as well as organizing the workshop and work trailers. Travel to project locations within Onondaga County.

Employer to provide daily transportation to and from work sites in Onondaga county, from designated location: 4731 New Hope North, Liverpool, NY 13090.

Must be able to lift 150 pounds.

No education required, 3 months experience required. Experience includes assisting carpenters with framing, roofing, stair building and various rough carpentry work.

Random drug testing possible, post-hire, at employer expense, for both domestic and H-2B workers.

Work Hours: Mon-Fri (and Sat work required, when necessary), 8am-5pm, 40 hours/week. 40 hours/week at $15.03/hour. Possible OT at $22.55/hour. Bonuses/raises may be paid at employer discretion based on performance, skill, tenure.

A single workweek will be used to compute wages due. Workers will be paid weekly on Friday. All deductions from the worker's paycheck required by law will be made.

Employer will assist workers with securing optional housing, but employer will not provide housing.

Employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job.

H-2B workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (excluding passport fees).

Transportation (including meals and, to the extent necessary, lodging) to the place of employment will be provided, or its cost to workers reimbursed, if the worker completes half the employment period. Return transportation will be provided if the worker completes the employment period or is dismissed early by the employer. Daily subsistence rates are $13.17/day without receipts or up to $55/day with receipts.
