Job Summary and Qualifications

Seeking an Assistant Controller for Methodist Hospital | Northeast who is responsible for assisting the Controller in providing oversight to all the financial record keeping and reporting for the facility. All job functions will be performed with limited oversight by the facility Controller. We are an amazing team that works hard to support each other and are seeking a phenomenal addition like you. What You Will Do In Your Role:

• Completes month end financial statement evaluation, analysis and executive summary explanations.

• Participates in the annual budgeting process; manages certain aspects of the process, as assigned by the Controller.

• Oversees the approval and tracking of capital expenditure requests (CERs). This includes the analysis and recommendations of lease versus buy and operating versus capital leases.

• Completes special projects as assigned with limited oversight by the Controller. Examples include (but are not limited by) annual AHA Survey, annual facility inventory and corporate or division office requested analyses.

• Oversees the monthly, quarterly and annual Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance requirements of the department.

What qualifications you will need:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.

• 3 years of experience in a healthcare environment.
