Fleet Ballistic Missiles (FBM) is one of Lockheed Martin’s outstanding Lines of Businesses that prioritizes partnership, integrity, and reliability. The Life Extension 2 (LE2) team is an organization within the greater FBM program which supports the development of the Next Generation System by developing concepts, researching, and maturing technologies to support the development of the next FBM Missile System.

Lockheed Martin (LM) is looking for a highly motivated Electrical Systems Engineer to support FBM LE2 Test Missile Kit 2 (TMK2) development as part of our Systems Integration Team.

As a Systems Integration Engineer , you will serve as a key interface between the requirements, design, subsystem engineering, systems engineering, and production teams for TMK2.

In this role you will:

• Integrate TMK2 efforts into Strategic Weapon Facility operations and capabilities to support new fleet deployments including Columbia and Dreadnought class SSBNs.

• Develop a complete understanding of program-unique and Space command media which ensures the TMK2 system meets technical requirements throughout the lifecycle.

• Support the TMK2 RSE and both LE and LE2 Missile RSEs.

• Verify compliance with LE & LE2 product certifications at the system level.

Basic Qualifications:

•Must have knowledge of current LE2 TMK2 integration approach and processes

•Knowledge of Systems Engineering processes and Systems Integration functions which may include:

a.) System trade studies and/or System modeling

b.) Requirements and Interface Control Document (ICD) development

c.) System Integration, Test and/or Verification

d.) Test planning and execution with an understanding of all the interdependencies

e.) Design reviews

• US Citizenship with the ability to obtain a DoD security clearance.

Desired Skills:

•Spacecraft/missile design, development, integration, or test, with broad based and in-depth knowledge of space, missile and launch systems at the component through system level

•Experience with telemetry systems, flight operations, and/or electrical design

•Proven understanding of systems thinking skills and behaviors

•System design and test experience with one or more subsystems or fields outside of Systems Engineering (e.g., Electrical, Mechanical, Propulsion, RF, Software, etc.)

•Ability to absorb extensive technical detail and logically formulate solutions for execution on an inflexible schedule, often requiring integration of conflicting and, at times, incomplete data

•Experience ensuring the physical and functional compatibility of hardware products throughout the full life cycle of the program

•Ability to interact with hardware Certified Principal Engineers (CPEs) and designers to ensure mission requirements are satisfied

•Proven track record of good judgment and programmatic execution necessary to meet technical requirements while balancing schedules and budget obligations

•Ability to operate in a dynamic environment and tackle numerous roles as part of the daily program operations

•Ability to drive coordinated resolution to issues across multiple work locations and organizational structure

•Basic understanding of the behaviors of a systems thinker

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $82,200 - $157,500 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
