Lockheed Martin Project Engineer Sr. - Clearance Required in Littleton, Colorado

As part of the Spectrum Convergence team, the engineer will be part of a multi-disciplinary engineering team on the Trusted Security Solutions (TSS) Program.

THE WORK

Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems is looking for Production professionals to work on Cross-Domain Solution (CDS) products that protect and defend the information flow of critical and time sensitive data on many military applications and networks. As part of the Spectrum Convergence team, the project engineer will lead a multi-disciplinary engineering team on the Trusted Security Solutions (TSS) program - Radiant Mercury (RM) product. The candidate should have prior experience with cost, schedule, and technical management of systems while working in an Agile environment.

This is a Project Engineer role with a focus on RM product PE responsibilities. This role will be responsible for generating BPEs, BOEs, and other proposal activities. Cost Account Management (CAM) duties. In addition, they will be responsible for continual communication, coordination, and providing status to existing program customers. This role requires effective coordination and communication with both end customers and internal engineering teams. The candidate should expect to learn necessary skills through hands on experiences and should work well in a team. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Secret clearance is required to start.

The Project Engineer team works within the Deer Creek facility with limited ability to work remotely. Travel may be required based on program needs.

Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be supporting the TSS Program in all phases of the Product Engineering process. The PE is responsible for the planning, organization, control, integration and completion of engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility. Plans and formulates engineering program; reviews product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications. Evaluates and approves design changes, specification and drawing releases. Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems. The selected candidate will also collaborate closely with project management, systems engineers, systems integration, and test engineers as well as fellow software engineers. Basic Qualifications:

- Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance; ability to obtain a final TS/SCI Clearance

- Experience in Project Execution or Program Management; supporting programs or projects to achieve their cost, schedule, and technical goals

- Understanding of Earned value Management (EVM), Proposal Management experience - Cost Account Management (CAM) experience

- Proficient with MS Office products (Excel, Project, PowerPoint) with high proficient with MS Excel to include advanced functions

- Previous proposal or Basis-of-Estimates writing/reviewing experience and previous Risk & Opportunity Management responsibility

- Understanding of System, Software, and Hardware Engineering processes

Desired Skills:

- Some travel will be required to fulfill the duties of this role (up to 25%)

- Ability to Travel based on programs needs.

- Ability to embrace complex technical challenges and apply ‘systems thinking’ for resolution

- Possess excellent customer relationship management skills to include outreach and communications experience.

- Prefer TS/SCI clearance. Minimal requirement is a SECRET clearance with an ability to obtain a TS clearance.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, Washington or Washington DC is $82,200 - $157,500. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
