Arapahoe County Government Administrative Assistant - Clerk To The Board (Part Time) in Littleton, Colorado

Description The Administrative Assistant is responsible for a variety of general duties associated with the clerical support for the Clerk to the Board Division of the Arapahoe County Clerk & Recorder's Office.

This is a part time position. The hours are Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday 7:00am-4:00pm. Duties

Attend and clerk meetings of the Board of County Commissioners and other related boards and commissions to record and transcribe all minutes and track and coordinate resolutions. Provide custodial service to all Board of County Commissioners County public documents. Assist the public with accessing public information. Responsible for assisting with public notice requirements. Responsible for transcribing minutes. Scanning, preparing and/or profiling of documents into the ProFile system. Ordering and distributing office supplies Requirements Skills, Abilities and Competencies:

Ability to prioritize workload with the ability to meet deadlines Support in keeping accurate and current County records Timely completion of minutes Support in the maintenance of a series of automated data tracking and reporting systems Relate information regarding Boards and Commissions on a weekly basisBehavioral Competencies (these are required for all positions at ACG):

Accountability Accessibility Inclusivity Integrity Education and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent At least 1 year of relevant experience Any equivalent combination of education and work experience that satisfy the requirements of the job will be considered. Pre-Employment Additional Requirements: Examples: Must successfully pass pre-employment testing which includes an acceptable motor vehicle record (MVR) and background check. Possession of a valid Class "R" Colorado Driver's License or the ability to obtain one within two weeks of appointment. Security clearance required: will require fingerprinting and a Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) background check Post-Employment Requirements: Available to work some evenings and weekends. Work is generally confined to a standard office environment. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The following are some of the physical demands commonly associated with this position.

Spends 50% of the time sitting and 50% of the time either standing or walking. Occasionally lifts, carries, pulls or pushes up to 20 lbs. Occasionally uses cart, dolly, or other equipment to carry in excess of 20 lbs. Occasionally climbs, stoops, kneels, balances, reaches, crawls and crouches while performing office or work duties. Verbal and auditory capacity enabling constant interpersonal communication through automated devices, such as telephones, radios, and similar; and in public meetings and personal interactions. Constant use of eye, hand and finger coordination enabling the use of automated office machinery or equipment.
