MISO Energy Senior Financial Analyst in Little Rock, Arkansas

Description

Starting Salary Range: $101,500-$111,500 - position is also eligible for an annual bonus if individual performance and company objectives are met.

We’re seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to play a critical role to assess the financial components of BILLION dollar proposals for MISO’s Competitive Transmission Process and support the selection of transmission developers.

In the role of Senior Financial Analyst , you’ll:

  • Compare estimated up-front project costs for new high-voltage transmission (estimated costs in the BILLIONS)

  • Evaluate revenue requirements over the first 40-years of the asset’s life

  • Gauge the effectiveness of cost containment features included in proposals

Our ideal Senior Financial Analyst candidate brings a bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field, and at least four years’ experience.

While not required, it would be great if you have previous energy industry experience.

After one year in this role, your success will be evident through:

  • Project Management: Effectively developing, communicating, and coordinating project plans.

  • Problem-Solving: Demonstrating the ability to analyze complex business scenarios, define problems, gather and evaluate data, and draw sound conclusions.

  • Collaboration: working extensively with external consultants and internal teams

  • Technical Proficiency: Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint, along with familiarity in email systems, operating systems, and virtual conferencing tools such as Webex, Teams, and Zoom.
