Summary

The Product Manager is highly engaged in developing, testing, and implementing software changes that benefit Smiley Technologies and its bank partners. The Product Manager is responsible for gathering and writing business requirements for software application development; providing support and guidance during development; and testing and implementation plans for new products and product changes (i.e., loans, deposits, treasury, etc.), which includes documentation and training support, as appropriate. The Product Manager provides customers guidance, recommendations, and solutions throughout the implementation process.

The Product Manager works collaboratively with clients and internal stakeholders from a business and technical perspective. Working knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), requirements elicitation, requirements documentation, and test case creation is required.

Responsibilities

  • Client Support: Analyze customer issues and determine the need for action (development, training, other intervention). Distinguishes client requests from the underlying business needs. Acts as liaison between client and system/development group
  • Product Owner: This position is a gatekeeper\' for new products and enhancements to move to development. Product knowledge and industry knowledge are required to be successful.
  • Department Representation: Act on behalf of the Product group by working alongside the development team on special projects, new functionality design, testing, and documentation
  • Data Conversion: This position may assist with any of the following during a data conversion: gap analysis, project management, data mapping, overall product, and bank setup, data validation, and post-conversion
  • Flexibility: Perform other related duties as required or assigned. Assist with bank conversions as needed

Requirements:

Required Education and Experience

  • College Degree or equivalent work experience

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Thorough knowledge of banking software applications and product capabilities
  • Thorough knowledge of business analysis fundamentals
  • Ability to work in a team environment and foster positive working relationships with co-workers and clients
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and activities, managing time to complete work within established time frames
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel or Jira
  • Ability to communicate technical and non-technical information to others both orally and in writing
