Pulaski County Special School District Plumber in Little Rock, Arkansas

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma/GED

  • Hold a journeyman plumber's license

  • Minimum of two years journeyman license experience

  • Experience with technology and mobile devices

  • Valid Arkansas driver's license

REPORTS TO: Plumbing Foreman

JOB GOAL: To help maintain the physical school plants in a condition of operating excellence so that full educational use of them may be made at all times.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES :

  1. Maintenance, repair, and installation of plumbing.

  2. Train apprentices and helpers in the plumbing field.

  3. Install plumbing, according to architects’ plans, on all new construction and/or renovation projects.

  4. Work with and assist other staff/trades as directed.

  5. Perform some heavy lifting.

  6. Perform work at varying heights on a ladder.

  7. Perform work in extreme weather conditions.

  8. Perform work underneath, on top of, and in attics of buildings.

  9. Respond to after hour emergencies.

  10. Perform other duties as assigned.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT :

Salary Range: Range 12 - Support Staff Hourly Salary Schedule ($16.46/hr. - $29.66/hr. depending on relevant experience)

Length of Contract: 244 contract days

FLSA Status: Non-exempt

Personnel Status: Classified

Benefits Eligible: Yes

EVALUATION :

Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Support Staff Personnel.
