PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: (The major activities or end results necessary to fulfill the position requirements on an ongoing basis)

Support and manage ESSHQ processes and company initiatives for the site

Analyzes performance metrics, develop plans for together with the regional ESSHQ Head of BL Catalyst and implements tactical plans for compliance and performance improvement.

Provides direct assistance + training to site in all matters pertaining to environmental, health and safety performance.

Support the site in development, implementation and conducting training programs to ensure employee understanding, acceptance and compliance with policies and procedures.

Provides technical counsel and practical advice to site management for correcting, improving, and designing best practices for environmental, health, and safety compliance or process improvement.

Ensures monthly, quarterly, and annual ESSHQ performance metrics are compiled and reported within specified timeframes; assists in developing additional proactive metrics to supplement existing data.

Support incident investigations for the site using proven investigation techniques. Conducts follow up audits to ensure that corrective actions are taken following an incident.

Facilitates communication between site, other site ESSHQ managers and regional ESSHQ Head of BL Catalysts to share safety and environmental best practices and key learnings from after action reviews, incident investigations and experiences.

Conducts Catalysts, SM Division or Corporate initiatives in according with the regional Catalysts ESSHQ head.

Ensures that Safety at Evonik implemented in daily life in all sites and new sites develop the same culture

Developing of the tow reports ESSHQ specialist and safety coordinator

Monitors, supervises, and reviews safety, security, health compliance with regulatory agencies, corporate, and regional requirements.

Supervise day to day H&S activities onsite

Plans training for the plant personnel on regulatory and company requirements.

Manages Evonik community relationships and corporate communications

Participates in internal and external audits as scheduled.
