About the role:
Join Takeda as an Associate Director, Professional Engagement Strategy and Marketing (Sleep Disorders) where you will be responsible for helping to develop the HCP engagement strategy and pull through marketing materials to prepare for a best-in-class launch. The Associate Director will partner with the broader team to develop and execute strategic marketing plans including professional engagement for congresses; KOL/thought leader engagement, advisory board planning and congress content development. The Assoc Director will also be responsible for developing and executing on the HCP discussion content/program by leveraging data and insights to inform the decision-making processes to ensuring our strategies are rooted in the deep understanding of HCP’s needs and behaviors. As part of the Sleep Disorders Brand Team, you will accomplish this through collaboration and strategic discussion with the end goal always being to win for patients.
How you will contribute:
Act as day-to-day lead in the implementation of all KOL/thought leader strategy and marketing, partnering with multiple internal stakeholders and external agencies
Partner with brand team to help develop unbranded creative campaigns and core message architectures to ensure alignment with broader Sleep Disorders franchise's strategic priorities
Create strategically-aligned engagement plans and tactics ensuring successful execution to help Takeda better serve patients; these include:
HCP fee-for-service plan and pull through to gain insights that would inform brand strategies and tactics, including advisory boards, speaker programs, steering committee, consulting, etc.
P2P strategy, platform, messaging, and resource development
Speaker bureau planning and management in adherence to all policies and content development that is approved for use via internal review team.
National and regional congress plans, including booth design/strategy, symposia/product theater content, KOL engagements and meeting and booth staffing
Identify and develop appropriate strategies for regional marketing needs
Partner closely with Insights & Analytics to distill insights, validate business opportunities, inform segmentation, channel mix preferences, and targeting of HCPs
Identify critical design elements for initiatives designed to inspire desired Health Care Provided (HCP) behavior change
Proactively recognize industry/competitive trends to identify brand growth opportunities and identify industry and internal best practices to build organizational capability
Manage multiple agencies from strategic brief ideation through to delivery, holding them accountable to Takeda USBU policies, standards, timelines and budgets
Collaborate closely with HCP Marketing peers to realize marketing synergies across brand
Partner with Consumer Marketing peers and other relevant functions to improve the journey for patients
Oversee the direction and deliverables of multiple priorities ensuring internal stakeholder alignment, across agency partners, and cross functional partners including PRT, medical affairs, compliance, and IT
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
8+ years experience with increasing responsibilities in sales, marketing or related function
4+ years of dedicated experience engaging with HCPs
Experience developing engagement plans for thought leaders / key opinion leader management and ability to comfortably liaise with these customers
Experience leading congress strategy, training, content development and execution of national level conferences
Demonstrated ability to positively influence coworkers toward common goals, foster collaboration, and enable teamwork; Ability to help set priorities, develop roles and responsibilities, and manage external partners
Proven track record of successfully leading and mentoring junior team members including identifying and coaching to strengths and development opportunities.
Deep understanding of a brand/franchise strategy and how to effectively engage HCPs; ability to make sound business decisions by having a strong understanding of business, finance and risks/benefits of decisions
Extensive experience in marketing strategy and tactic design with an ability to communicate ideas to internal colleagues and external partners
Broad-based HCP Marketing knowledge from non-personal (e.g., designing/running a CRM program) to field sales (e.g., managing deployment of an assets)
Capable of leveraging data and analytics to distill insights and drive data-based decision making
Preferred:
MBA or MSc/PhD
Pharmaceutical industry experience
Experience working on a product launch
Experience in Sleep Disorders, Neurology, Pulmonology or Rare therapeutic areas
Travel Requirements:
Requires approximately 25-40% travel, which includes travel to Cambridge, MA office
Ability to travel to various internal and external meetings and conferences that could include overnight stays ranging from one to several nights.
Some weekend and/or international travel may be required.

U.S. Base Salary Range:
149,100.00 - 234,300.00
The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or long-term incentives.
