Children's Lighthouse-Little Elm Teacher Infant through PreK in Little Elm, Texas

Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that fosters the social, emotional, and cognitive development of young children. The Teacher will work closely with students, parents, and staff to ensure a positive learning experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning through play and exploration.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that encourages creativity and curiosity.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians on their childs development.
  • Utilize behavior management techniques to support positive behavior in the classroom.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create an integrated curriculum that meets the diverse needs of all students.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, assessments, and individual progress reports.
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with educational best practices.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with young children in daycare or educational settings is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of early intervention strategies and special education practices is a plus.
  • Strong classroom management skills with the ability to create a positive learning environment.
  • Familiarity with physical education activities suitable for young children is beneficial.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with students, parents, and staff.
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive environment that respects diversity among students.
