Position Overview

Navistar Finance has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Financial Consultant, Business Intelligence.

As our Sr. Financial Consultant - Business Intelligence you will be working on a significant financial system upgrade to Oracle EPM (Enterprise Performance Management) to design how Navistar should view business profitability and performance. along wtih developing a new financial planning model. This will include implementing financial planning and reporting, FCS (Financial Consolidation System) and Account Reconciliations modules. The planning and reporting will be supporting new business reporting initiatives with the information provided going to the C-Suite and Finance Leadership. The key skillset we are seeking is a candidate with prior financial system implementation experience to offer guidance to the Navistar team rather than just take direction and implement from consultants.

In addition to the above this role will also ensure information coming out of SAP will be in the same format and understood as the same definition by the Oracle system, ie- data consistency and governance between SAP and Oracle.

Responsibilities

  • Support Corporate FP&A and business finance on defining new OLAP data models for financial and non-financial KPIs with specific focus on 5-year Operative Plan, Budget planning (1 year) and regular monthly Forecasting process

  • Partner with Accounting, business finance and IT during refining and implementation of new requirements in OLAP cubes for planning/reporting and performance measurement purposes

  • Scope comprises of all relevant performance metrics for internal and external shareholder reporting from an FP&A perspective, i.e. Order book and Sales volume, P/L positions (with specific deep dive on Overhead and SG&A cost), Working Capital, Net Cash Flow statement, as well as Headcount and labor cost reporting

  • Work collaboratively with FP&A, Accounting, business finance and IT on governance, consistency and standardization on master data management for dimensions and hierarchies

  • Ensure integrity of data in the existing FP&A tools and work with the IT team & Accounting in resolving data issues

  • Represent FP&A requirements in Navistar’s project “Finance of the Future” (i.e., definition and implementation support of new ERP and EPM system)

  • Support in scheduling of company-wide planning processes and cross departmental alignment of interdependencies

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • At least 2 years of finance experience

OR

  • Master's degree

  • At least 1 year of finance experience

OR

  • At least 5 years of finance experience

Additional Requirements

  • Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Desired Skills

  • Very strong analytical skills

  • Prior financial system implementation experience preferably with SAP and Oracle

  • Problem-solving ability; able to employ technical skills in a resourceful and creative manner

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; comfortable with communicating and presenting across all organizational levels, including Senior Leadership

  • Ability to extract essential elements in complex financial concepts and models to summarize in simple, concise and cogent manner

  • Flexibility to adjust with change and to handle ambiguity

  • Excellent time management skills – can prioritize and manage multiple projects to meet specific deadlines

  • Strong OLAP database experience required (Oracle EPM preferred)

  • SQL, PowerBI, or other programming languages for relational databases and data visualization

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

  • Work effectively in a team environment
