Northrop Grumman Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist in Linthicum, Maryland

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Australian GSC Program is seeking a Principal Supply Chain Planner/Supplier Advocate who is experienced in supply chain management and is a motivated self-starter. This position will be hybrid with a requirement to come into the office located in Linthicum, MD one day per week. This position will require travel domestically and to Australia.

The selected individual will be responsible for incorporating Australian industry into NGC supply chain across all four NG Sectors. The individual will be responsible for interfacing internally within NG Programs to identify areas of supply chain risk, as well as collaborating externally with Australian industry to mitigate the areas of supply chain risk within NG. The individual will develop, implement, and execute strategies for Australian industry to ensure success of the Australian GSC Program.

The ideal candidate will understand the buyer and the seller roles in establishing mutually successful business arrangements, with experiences in work specifications and solicitations/bid packages, proposal evaluation, price and term negotiations, development of contractual documentation and post award administration.

Candidates must be able to make sound decisions in a timely manner, display strong interpersonal skills, and have an agile perspective of compliance protocol mandated by regulated industry.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree from an accredited institution

  • Bachelor's degree with 6+ years or a Master's Degree with 4+ years of experience in supply chain, procurement, business management and/or related experience

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Demonstrated leadership, critical thinking and innovative behaviors in past projects, roles or experiences

  • Proficiency in MS Office suite

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated strong leadership skills as well as the ability to multi-task in a challenging environment

  • Professional experience in a regulated industry; to include Aerospace & Defense, Insurance, Financial Services, Telecommunications

  • SAP experience

  • Knowledge of FAR/DFAR

  • Demonstrated experience with multiple contracting formats, including Firm Fixed Price and/or Cost Reimbursable,

  • Familiarity with terms and conditions

Salary Range: $84,600 - $127,000

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
