Job Description

Insight Global is seeking 1 Senior Accountant to join the External Reporting team for a large healthcare system based out of Linthicum, MD. The External Financial Reporting Team is responsible for ensuring the monthly and annual close of the Corporate general ledger and production of the monthly and annual consolidated financial statements (comprised of hospital(s) and numerous joint ventures and subsidiaries). The monthly close process includes budget variance analysis of expenses as well as use of various analytical tools to help determine the accuracy of our financials. Our focus is on serving our customers, which includes the CFO, Decision Support teams, RRAS, customers within the hospitals, and all other financial reporting departments. The External Financial Reporting Team also coordinates the annual external audit of the consolidated financial statements, quarterly EMMA reporting (debt filing compliance), non-patient billing and preparation of Board materials. This Senior will be responsible for:

Oversee month-end close and allocations: Manage Corporate Shared Services allocations and month-end closing processes to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Prepare consolidated financial statements: Prepare consolidated financial statements, including intercompany eliminations, ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal policies.

Create Board of Trustee presentations: Prepare month-end close package, Board of Trustee presentations and monthly management statements for Board of Trustee meetings.

Ensure external reporting compliance: Handle quarterly GAAP financial statement and debt covenant preparation, ensuring accuracy and adherence to debt compliance requirements.

Support annual audits: Assist in the preparation of annual audited financial statements and provide necessary documentation and support for internal and external audits.

Gain understanding of the big picture of all aspects of Corporate financial performance and strategy.

Collaborate with Decision Support and the Technical Accounting team to ensure the completeness and accuracy of the Corporate monthly financial statements.

Complete reconciliations per Blackline cadence and required deadlines, meeting the policy requirements for documentation and support.

Assist with the Financial Reporting team's compliance with Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR) program.

Skills and Requirements

Big 4/ Regional public accounting background

Financial statement preparation experience

Knowledge of GAAP and internal controls over financial reporting

Strong excel skills

Strong analytical kills

At least 3-5 years accounting and financial reporting experience

Bachelor's Degree with a major in accounting, financial, or related field
