Staples Software Engineering Intern (Quill - Hybrid) - June 2025 in Lincolnshire, Illinois

_This position is a part of a hybrid work model, 4 days in the office and 1 day remote, based out of the Quill Corporate facility in Lincolnshire, IL. _

Target Start Date: June 2, 2025 - August 15, 2025 (11-week program)

What you’ll be doing:

  • Create/Update Web basic User Interfaces and back-end code as per the functional needs using the latest technologies such as C#, JavaScript, and Angular

  • Create/Update REST APIs to achieve a specific functionality using the latest technologies such as C#, Python, Rust, etc.

  • Working with relational databases such as SQL Server and writing SQL Queries

What’s needed - Basic Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field

  • Must be a rising senior (graduating in May 2026), and enrolled as a full-time student carrying a minimum of 12 college credits

  • Strong skills in C#, Python, or similar languages

  • Self-learner with a passion for tech, and an interest in coding websites

What’s needed - Preferred Qualifications:

  • Enjoy working in teams and being highly communicative

  • Able to multi-task and be flexible to new initiatives

  • Enjoys problem-solving, debugging, and optimizing code
