We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Plant Accountant to join our clients manufacturing team. This role will be integral in ensuring financial accuracy, optimizing plant operations, and supporting key business decisions. The ideal candidate will have a background in accounting, a keen understanding of manufacturing processes, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams to achieve financial and operational goals.

salary: $40 - $45 per hour

shift: First

work hours: 7 AM - 4:30 PM

education: Bachelors

Responsibilities

  • Production Order Variance & WIP Aging: Review production order variances and the work-in-progress (WIP) aging report to ensure accurate tracking of plant costs.

  • Expense Monitoring: Monitor and manage plant expenses to ensure financial efficiency and compliance with budgetary guidelines.

  • Approval of Purchase Requisitions: Approve plant purchase requisitions, ensuring proper alignment with the approved budget and company policies.

  • GRIR/MRBR Resolution: Assist in the Goods Receipt/Invoice Receipt (GRIR) and Material Review (MRBR) processes to resolve any purchase order receiving and payment issues.

  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the preparation of the annual plant budget and monthly forecasts, working closely with the operations team to ensure financial targets are met.

  • Month-End Closing & Reporting: Prepare month-end closing reports and detailed financial analysis for management review.

  • Productivity Projects: Collaborate with the operations team to identify and measure the return on productivity improvement projects, ensuring alignment with financial goals.

  • Physical & Fixed Asset Inventory: Lead the annual physical inventory process, working with the operations team to ensure accurate counts. Manage the fixed asset inventory every three years.

  • Audit Support: Provide support for internal, external, and SOX audits, ensuring timely and accurate data is available.
