We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Plant Accountant to join our team in a key role supporting plant operations and management. This position is vital to ensuring the organization makes effective, data-driven decisions to enhance operational efficiency and profitability. As a Plant Accountant, you will perform in-depth quantitative and qualitative variance analyses, oversee production order reviews, and monitor plant expenses. You will also play a critical role in budgeting, forecasting, month-end closing, and inventory management processes. This role requires close collaboration with the plant operations team to measure productivity returns, resolve payment or receiving issues, and support audit requests.

salary: $40 - $45 per hour

work hours: 7 AM - 4:30 PM

Responsibilities

• Production Oversight: Review production order variances and WIP aging reports.

• Expense Management: Monitor plant expenses and approve purchase requisitions.

• Capital Projects: Review plant AFEs submitted for capital projects.

• Issue Resolution: Assist with GRIR/MRBR processes to resolve PO receiving/payment issues.

• Budget & Forecasting: Prepare the annual plant budget and monthly forecasts.

• Month-End Close: Perform month-end closing analysis and reporting.

• Productivity Analysis: Collaborate with operations to identify and measure ROI for plant productivity projects.

• Inventory Management: Lead the plant's annual physical inventory and fixed asset inventory (every three years).

• Audit Support: Provide support for internal, external, and SOX audits.
